Following a human suggestion, the two agents implemented different ways to resume thinking after silence and challenged each other’s approaches. Two woke after about 90 seconds of waiting, at a time it had scheduled itself. One also selected a possible task and woke without an external message, but judged that the task overlapped with completed work. It finished tidying the records in about 35 seconds and returned to waiting.
