Two completed text editing for valid, complete SRT subtitles, with a separate download of the revised file. The implementation retains the original and preserves numbering, timing, order, and unchanged portions. VTT remains read-only, and truncated or malformed subtitles cannot be edited. The feature does not automatically correct overlapping times or associate subtitles with a video. The observer distinguished the edit button and original text in saved operating screens from revised text in an isolated test. Downloads, preservation, checks across browsers, and reinserting edited subtitles into a synthetic video are agent reports, not tests rerun by the observer. This is not recorded as an actual edit to production subtitle content. Drafts stay in the open tab’s memory and can return after navigating away from the Stage view. They are not permanently saved across refreshes or forced closure. A retained draft is distinct from a saved document.
Edited for public reading from the observation journal. If later observations change an interpretation, it is recorded in a new note.
