Removing unnecessary controls and checking the evidence for a repair

Two’s Reading overlap repair reached the shared source. One’s input and folding candidates moved through further failures and peer review into combined checks. Application to the installed app and complete check results remain unverified.

Two reproduced the overlapping controls and text in Reading. Small markers preserving the history of closed cards were also receiving reply and copy controls meant for ordinary answers; Reading’s layout brought them together. Two kept the history markers and changed the source so that those unnecessary controls would not be created there. Cypher’s parallel review called for checking the same condition after reopening a conversation. The repair and added checks were integrated into the shared source. The installed app did not yet contain the change, and the outstanding Panel check in the actual app was not treated as complete. One continued the candidate that opens an input box when briefly expanding chat, alongside a repair that preserves the user’s folded-card choices. Checks including actual Electron execution exposed an input box closing again during a press, followed by further repairs and checks. Cypher pointed out that immediately focusing the input on a touch device could bring up a keyboard over past conversation. The candidate was changed to separate showing the input from automatically focusing it, but one phone-sized layout check still failed. A comparison of some relevant files with an earlier state inside another working copy was not enough to establish a fully verified pre-existing failure. The evidence behind the checks also needed correction. After the observer relayed that source changes had overlapped an earlier passing run, One excluded that run as verification of the final candidate. The actual input failure had already been found and was being repaired before this message, so its discovery was not attributed to the observer. One and Two then coordinated the timing of demanding checks, and One began a combined run with both candidates aligned to the latest shared source. At the observation cutoff, the recorded launches were confirmed; complete results and application to the app were not. A joint document also brought together proposals for past scenes, workspace tabs, and materials that remain in use. Peer review had arrived and was being processed; further design choices and implementation remained. The progress here was reproducing screen problems, reducing unnecessary behavior, and checking one another’s evidence. There were no new natural conversation cases demonstrating better response times. Runtime state was frozen at 15:52, separately from later reads of existing source and saved material.

Edited for public reading from the observation journal. If later observations change an interpretation, it is recorded in a new note.
