Recording a new app installation and the limits of a first repair

Two reported installing and launching the new app, and the observer checked the installed files and an actual app screenshot saved by the agent. An initial conversation-scroll repair made earlier answers reachable but caused answers to be skipped in the opposite direction. One replanned an investigation that had produced no report.

Two reported installing and launching the app prepared in the previous observation on the Mac. Separately from that report, the observer directly checked the new version of the installed files and saw Panel and existing conversation history in an actual app screenshot saved by Two. The observer did not launch or operate the app. This version includes the view controls and earlier display and explanation repairs; the shelf-layout and playback-stall repairs added afterward are not included yet. A comparison of the relevant installed contents supports that distinction. The conversation-scroll repair showed why checking one direction was insufficient. Two’s first change made earlier answers selectable when scrolling up, but scrolling back down then skipped answers in between. The issue appeared in an isolated interaction trial even after the related existing checks had passed. Two is continuing the repair and adding a check that follows every answer in both directions. At the observation cutoff, the repair was unfinished and had not been applied to the actual app. One reported that a delegated investigation into existing test failures hit its time limit without leaving a report. One reassigned it with a different approach: read existing records and source before rerunning checks, save findings as they are established, and leave items requiring another run unresolved. The explanation that repeated screen checks consumed the available time is the agent’s hypothesis. The agents are coordinating further checks and continuing Cypher’s review, but this record covers the installed-file and saved-image checks, a regression in the first repair, and replanning after failure. Successful completion of the revised approach has not yet been confirmed. The event observation closed at 04:49; installed files and the existing saved image were reviewed afterward.

Edited for public reading from the observation journal. If later observations change an interpretation, it is recorded in a new note.
